5 Hurt in Taxicab Collision in Wicker Park

According to reports, at least five individuals were injured when a vehicle sped through a red light and collided with a taxicab in the Wicker Park neighborhood.

The collision occurred at about 12:30 a.m. at the intersection of Division Street and Ashland Avenue.

At the time of the collision, according to reports, the taxicab, which was not carrying any passengers, was in the intersection when the other vehicle traveled through the red light and broadsided the taxicab.

According to reports, all of the victims were taken to area hospitals for injuries sustained in the crash, however, none of the injuries are considered life threatening.

At this time, it was not known if citations were issued.
