Clifford Law Offices' Associate Named Top 40 Under Attorneys Under 40 Years Old In Chicago
Press Release, 08/03/2006J. Ryan Potts, 29, is the youngest lawyer to receive the coveted 40 Illinois Attorneys Under 40 to Watch in 2006 by the Law Bulletin Publishing Company.
Potts has been an associate since 2002 at Clifford Law Offices, a nationally recognized personal injury firm. He is responsible for settlements and verdicts in excess of $50 million including a global settlement of $15.05 million for a woman who lost her leg in an Albuquerque, New Mexico crash that also killed her husband. More than 100 depositions were taken in that case.
He is working on a number of high-profile cases at the firm including the porch collapse case that killed 13 young professionals in Chicago and injured 32 others.
Potts is a graduate of DePaul University College of Law where he received the CALI Award for outstanding scholastic achievement in Legal Writing and Criminal Litigation. He obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in finance at the University of Illinois’ College of Commerce and Business Administration Champaign-Urbana.
Potts lives with his wife and daughters in Glen Ellyn.
