Halvorsen Speaks at DePaul

Kimberly Halvorsen, associate at Clifford Law Offices, spoke at DePaul University College of Law program for law students and recent graduates on pro bono and public interest law placements.

The Public Interest Law Initiative (PILI) sponsored the program Sat., Oct. 2, and Halvorsen was part of a mentoring session where she discussed her pro bono work for the Chicago Volunteer Legal Services (CLVS).  Clifford Law Offices helped to sponsor the probate program at CVLS that provides legal aid to the needy and disabled.
   
Last year, Halvorsen was named one of the top Chicago Bar Association (CBA) pro bono “stars” during Pro Bono Week which commemorates and encourages lawyers to incorporate pro bono work into their successful, busy careers.  She also recently was named Vice Chair to the CVLS first-ever Junior Board which she will lead next year, and is participating in the upcoming Chicago Bar Foundation/CBA’s 2010 Pro Bono Week.
