Robert Clifford Appointed Chair of ABA Strategic Communications Committee
Press Release, 08/28/2006Robert A. Clifford, partner at Clifford Law Offices in Chicago, was appointed for a one-year term as Chair of the American Bar Association’s Standing Committee on Strategic Communications.
Newly inducted President Karen Mathis of Denver, Colorado, appointed Clifford to chair the committee that has the responsibility to improve the communications between the organization and its 400,000 members through developing priorities and goals as well as coordinating and assisting in integrated communication messages, plans and strategies. The ever-changing technology landscape weighs heavily in the Committee’s outreach work in the message-driven organization.
Also, of note, Clifford’s article, "‘Deselecting’ the Jury in a Civil Case," has been chosen for inclusion in a special book incorporating what the ABA describes as "the finest articles from the past eight years" from its Litigation Journal publication. The book, Litigation Manual, 3rd Edition, will be available to purchase next year from the ABA.
Currently, Clifford is the Illinois State Delegate to the ABA House of Delegates.
