Clifford Law Offices Receives Commitment to Excellence Award by Pro Bono Center for Disability and Elder Law

The Pro Bono Center presented Clifford Law Offices with its prestigious Commitment to Excellence. This award is presented to individuals and businesses that have demonstrated outstanding pro bono commitment, service and leadership in the past year.
The Pro Bono Center for Disability and Elder Law (formerly known as the Center for Disability and Elder Law, CDEL), located in Chicago, was founded in 1984. As one of Chicago’s foremost pro bono legal service providers, the Center vigorously advocates for the legal rights of low-income elderly and persons with disabilities. Its more than 1,300 volunteer lawyers and paralegals have committed their time, counsel, and resources to provide legal services to those who have been marginalized by poverty, disability and age. In 2004, the Center volunteered more than $3.5 million in legal services to low-income seniors and clients with disabilities on a pro bono basis.
Robert A. Clifford received the Leonard Ring Award in 2003 from CDEL for his commitment to pro bono work in the Chicago community.
