Bob Clifford and Pam Menaker Speak on “Lawyers and the Ethics of Social Media”
Robert A. Clifford, founder and senior partner at Clifford Law Offices, and the firm’s Communications Partner, Pamela Sakowicz Menaker, served on a panel Friday (Nov. 21, 2014) to speak on “Lawyers and the Ethics of Social Media.”
The program included an address by Illinois Supreme Court Justice Robert R. Thomas, 2nd District, on “An overview of how the Illinois Supreme Court deals with Ethical Complaints.” His anecdotes on his previous career as the kicker for the Chicago Bears for 10 years made for a very entertaining talk.
The program was part of an afternoon session at Loyola University on “Ethical Lawyering: Avoiding the Pitfalls of Practice.” Fr. John Costello, S.J., was the organizer of the event that was attended by many young lawyers and law students.
Also participating on the panel were Fr. W. Penn Dawson, S.J., visiting professor of Law at Loyola University New Orleans College of Law as well as Nicole R. Finelli, associate, Krieg DeVault LLP and Matthew T. Dattilo, general counsel and corporate secretary at Premier Restaurant Group.
The event offered continuing legal education credit, including professional responsibility credit, for lawyers.
