Robert A. Clifford, founder and senior partner of Clifford Law Offices, will be one of the “celebrity” instructors at Fred Lane’s 36-week Trial Technique Institute sponsored by the Illinois State Bar Association tomorrow (Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2014).

His topic will be “Opening Statements” and includes 54 hours of continuing legal education credit for those who registered for the entire session. Drop-in guests are allowed but will not receive the credit for the institute.

Fred Lane, a prominent trial attorney, has been teaching this program for a number of years in a “learn-by-doing” program that covers all phases of trial work from both a plaint and defendant’s perspective. Trial techniques are learned through “hands-on” exercises consistent with the Federal Rules of Evidence and the new Illinois Rules of Evidence.

The Institute is held at the ISBA offices, 20 S. Clark St., Suite 900, Chicago, from 5:15 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. tomorrow.
