Julia Brosnahan, associate at the firm, is immersed in personal injury and wrongful death cases at Clifford Law Offices. She is involved in matters involving medical malpractice, auto accidents and aviation work, including the litigation in federal District Court in Chicago in the crash of a Boeing 737 MAX8 jet in Ethiopia in which the firm has been Lead Counsel since the 2019 tragedy.
Prior to serving as a clerk at the firm for two years, Julia interned at several organizations, including Chicago Volunteer Legal Services (CVLS) that provides pro bono legal services to indigent and disadvantaged persons in the Chicagoland area. It was there she first attended court with supervising attorneys. She also served as an intern with the Democratic Party of Illinois, organizing voter registration.
Julia actively volunteers with numerous civic and philanthropic organizations, including Misericordia, where she helps raise funds for a home supporting individuals with physical and mental challenges. She has also volunteered at the Southwest Suburban Family Shelter, aiding abused women and children, and with the American Cancer Society, assisting at the annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk.
Julia is a member of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, Chicago Bar Association, and the Women’s Bar Association of Illinois. She served as a Student Bar Association Senator and Alumni Relations Chair at her alma mater, DePaul University College of Law. She attended Seton Hall University where she received a B.S. degree in Diplomacy and International Relations serving on the Dean’s List.
