A passenger injured in the crash of a Yellow Line train a year ago spoke to WLS-TV’s Chuck Goudie about the horrific crash of a CTA train into a snow plow equipment.
Clifford Law Offices filed complaints on behalf of several passengers injured when it struck a standing snow plow on the tracks in Rogers Park that left dozens injured. Joseph T. Murphy, partner at Clifford Law Offices, spoke to Goudie about the avoidable crash of the Skokie Swift train last Nov. 16, 2024.
Murphy said the CTA needs to be held accountable for this incident, including the fact that the conductor had a blood alcohol level beyond the limit allowed under federal regulations. “If you’re responsible for busing around or conducting around hundreds or thousands of passengers a day, and you have a slight delay that might be caused by alcohol, that’s human error,” Murphy told ABC.
