    Explosion on Metra Tracks Kills One Worker, Severely Injures Another on Chicago’s Northwest Side

    An explosion on the Metra train tracks on Saturday, Nov. 3, 2018, near the Grayland station has killed one worker and badly injured another. Two welders were working in the 4500 block of West Byron Street when the tragedy occurred, according to officials.     Two O’Hare Shuttle Buses Collide, Injuring at Least Six People

    Two shuttle buses collided early Saturday morning (Nov. 3, 2018) at O’Hare Airport near Terminal 5 injuring at least six people. Emergency crews were called to the scene about 3 a.m. and transported the injured to area hospitals. Police are investigating the cause of the crash. The injured are reported to be in stable condition.

    A brand-new Boeing 737-800 aircraft crashed Monday (Oct. 29, 2018) into the Java Sea shortly after takeoff from Jakarta, Indonesia. Lion Air Flight 610 had just taken off when three minutes into the flight the pilot requested to return to the airport. It was at an altitude of about 5,200 feet.     More Than Two Dozen People Injured in CTA Bus Crash

    An estimated 26 people were injured when a No. 71 CTA bus crashed into a light pole on Chicago’s South Side this morning (Wed., Oct. 17, 2018).
