Robert A. Clifford, founder and senior partner of Clifford Law Offices, and Irwin Chemerinsky, Professor of Berkeley School of Law, will be speaking on March 7 in a program entitled “Plaintiff-Side Litigation: Scholars and Practitioners in Dialogue.”
The day-long symposium is co-sponsored by the American Bar Foundation, UC Berkeley School of Law Civil Justice Research Initiative, with additional support from the American Association for Justice.
The program brings together scholars’ and practitioners’ perspectives on the plaintiff-side practice to explore topics such as the history of the plaintiff bar, the impact of tort reform, the implications of the changing role of the civil jury, and how complex litigation may be changing plaintiff-side litigation.
The program begins at 8:30 a.m. and will be held at the Ivy Hotel, 233 E. Ontario St., Chicago. Anne Bloom of UC Berkeley School of Law Civil Justice Research Initiative will moderate this program.
To register, visit the program website. The program is open to the public, but space is limited.
