Robert A. Clifford, founder and senior partner of Clifford Law Offices, will moderate a luncheon discussion on Friday, October 21, 2022, as part of a four-day conference sponsored by Just the Beginning (JTB), a pipeline organization for students, particularly of color and from underrepresented communities, to help them on a path to law school or a successful legal career.
The topic of Clifford’s discussion will be “Legends and Firsts,” and he will be joined on the panel by Hon. Anne Claire Williams (Ret.), JTB Founder, and Hon. Patricia Brown Holmes (Ret.), JTB Board President.
The conference will be marked by a number of Continuing Legal Education programs and speeches including honoring the legacy of Judge George N. Leighton, a judicial trailblazer serving on the bench for the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois (1976-1986), a gala dinner, and the presentation of the JTB Trailblazer Awards, Law School Scholarship Awards, and Diversity Partnership Awards.
