Clifford Law Offices once again is among the top two law firms in the Chicago area in an annual survey of settlement totals for the past year ending June 30.
With $107.7 million obtained in 25 cases, the highest individual settlement overall in the survey was $51 million obtained by Clifford Law Offices on behalf of the family of a baby who suffered severe brain damage as a result of the failure to perform a timely cesarean section. Keith A. Hebeisen, Bradley M. Cosgrove, Sarah F. King, and Charles R. Haskins were the attorneys on that matter.
The research was compiled by the Law Bulletin Media company and the Jury Verdict Reporter (JVR) that has tracked this information for decades. Only settlements of $500,000 or more were included in the survey.

The 2020 JVR Settlement Report featured 118 firms totaling more than $1.2 billion involving 610 settlements with the majority of them reached in Cook County.
