Clifford Law Offices, a nationally renowned personal injury firm, today (Oct. 26, 2015) filed a lawsuit against Uber and an Uber driver for injuries to a passenger when the driver turned into oncoming traffic at the busy Ohio Street intersection that merges off the Kennedy Expressway.
Yates M. French, a Chicago attorney, was injured as a passenger in the back seat of an Uber car on Oct. 14, 2015, that turned westbound from Wells Street onto the one-way eastbound Ohio Street.
The driver, George C. Lekkas, owner of a 2012 Honda sedan, was named a defendant in the action as well as Uber Technologies, Inc. He crashed his vehicle into another and both cars sustained severe damage. French is under the care of a physician.
