America’s Elite Trial Lawyers September 11, 2014
Clifford Law Offices is proud to announce that it was named among The National Law Journal’s inaugural list of “America’s Elite Trial Lawyers.”
In naming the top 50 plaintiffs’ firms in the country, The National Law Journal wrote that it wanted to recognize the efforts of trial lawyers who worked in the past year to obtain verdicts yielding more than $10 billion in recoveries. “The National Law Journal and Law.com this year teamed to select law firms that are doing the most creative and substantial work on the plaintiffs side,” it wrote. Clifford Law Offices was the only Chicago law firm among those selected.
The top 50 firms from across the country were named in what editors termed as “fierce” competition. “But we are confident that our selections represent those law firms that are on the cutting edge of plaintiffs’-side work in the United States and that have achieved exemplary results for their clients,” Vice President and Editor in Chiefs David Brown and Beth Frerking wrote the honorees in a letter. The final results will be published in the Sept. 29 issue of the national newspaper.
To be considered for inclusion, firms had to have scored at least one significant plaintiffs’ win between Jan. 1, 2013, and June 30, 2014, and “possess an impressive track record of wins within the past three to five years. A ‘significant win’ meant prevailing in a bench or jury trial or in a major settlement where the stakes were high,” it wrote. All honorees will be recognized at a special event in Las Vegas Nov. 13-14.
