Clifford Law Offices, a long-time sponsor of Cristo Rey St. Martin College Prep in Waukegan, is an Academic Sponsor of its “el-e-vate” fundraising event Oct. 22.
The academic sponsorship level is the equivalent to the cost of educating one student at the private school for a year. Clifford Law Offices has not only sponsored a student every year for more than a decade but also hires five students each semester part-time and, later, even as full-time employees at the firm.
Cristo Rey boasts a 100 percent acceptance rate of its seniors into college. Total enrollment at the school is 400, allowing young people from a struggling community to be able to get a quality education for families who otherwise would not be able to afford it.
The “Raise the Roof” event will be held at the Venue One North Shore in Deerfield and will feature entertainment by the Gentlemen of Leisure.
