The Chicago Bar Foundation (CBF), the charitable arm of the Chicago Bar Association (CBA), is holding its annual Pro Bono and Public Services Award as a virtual celebration July 14. Clifford Law Offices once again is a Platinum Sponsor of the event that honors those who donated legal work to help the needy throughout the Chicago community during the past year.
Six attorneys will be presented awards that are named for lawyers in Chicago who have been pillars of public service and excellence in the law. The Kimball R. Anderson and Karen Gatsis Anderson Public Interest Law Fellowship also will be awarded to an outstanding law school graduate who has dedicated himself/herself to the practice of public interest law. The award assists the new lawyer with repaying school loans, mortgage payments and other necessary expenses as a way of inspiring others to the same commitment to do good.
The virtual event to honor these unsung heroes will be held at the 22nd annual event from 5-6 p.m. Tuesday, July 14.
“The awards presented honor lawyers from a broad cross-section of the legal community whose passion for serving others is reflected in their extraordinary commitment to the ideals of equal access to justice. These awards also serve to build awareness of the impact our collective efforts can have in the lives of their most vulnerable people in our community,” according to the CBF.
