Erin Clifford, Managing Director at Clifford Law Offices, spoke at a morning program at the Illinois State Bar Association (ISBA)/Illinois Judges Association (IJA) Joint Midyear Meeting on “An Insider’s Look at Judicial Decision-Making.”
Clifford opened the program at 9 a.m. with a presentation on “Creating the Environment to Make Effective Decisions.”
Former ISBA President Shawn Kasserman and Tomasik Kotin Kasserman, LLC, Chicago, moderated a panel, “Trial Judge Panel: Help Us Help You.” The panelists were Hon. Janelle K. Christensen, 19th Judicial Circuit Court; Hon. Richard D. Felice, 18th Judicial Circuit Court; and Hon. John Fitzgerald Lyke, Jr., Circuit Court of Cook County.
A second panel, “Inner Workings – Courts of Review Panel,” was moderated by Hon. James E. Snyder (ret.), JAMS Mediator/Arbitrator; Hon. Joy V. Cunningham, Illinois Supreme Court, First District; Hon. Eugene Doherty, Illinois Appellate Court, Fourth District; Hon. Elizabeth M. Rochford, Illinois Supreme Court, Second District; Hon. Sanjay T. Tailor, Illinois Appellate Court, First District.
The Hon. Jennifer L. Johnson, 22nd Judicial Circuit, and the Hon. Clare J. Quish, Circuit Court of Cook County, were the program coordinators.
The in-person program was held on December 13, 2024, at the JW Marriott, 151 W. Adams St., Chicago. It offered 2.25 hours of continuing legal education credit.
