Illinois State Bar Association (ISBA) Young Lawyers Division (YLD) members Courtney Berlin, associate at Clifford Law Offices; Olivia Basu, Senior Associate at Hammer Serna & Quinn LLC; and Priya Thennarasu, Associate at Much Shelist, spearheaded a “speed networking” and wine tasting event to be held March 21. The event is designed to provide young lawyers with the opportunity to connect with experienced mentors from various fields of law. Some ISBA mentors at the event include ISBA President Sonni Choi Williams, Cook County Circuit Court Judge Bridget Duignan, Illinois Bar Foundation Second Vice President Juan Thomas, Illinois Appellate Court Justice Debra Walker, ISBA SecretaryEmily Masalski, and ISBA Treasurer Wesley Gozia.
The networking event will be held at 4:30 p.m. at the ISBA Mutual Office, 20 S. Clark St., Suite 800, Chicago, with the wine tasting portion of the event to begin at 6:00 p.m. The networking event is free to attend. Tickets for the wine event are $35 per person, with non-alcoholic tickets available for $15 per person.
Clifford Law Offices is a sponsor of the event. The proceeds from the wine tasting benefit the YLD Children’s Assistance Fund, which provides grants to organizations across Illinois related to children and law.
