MeetingAs the nation continues to mourn with those who were killed and the injured following the senseless shooting in Las Vegas at a country music concert, we here at Clifford Law Offices are working to try to find you answers.

Questions have been raised about hotel security on the strip at Las Vegas. How could a man go for days without having his room be checked on? How was he able to get such a large number of firearms into his hotel room? Was there enough security that is necessary for guests, particularly in a state like Nevada that has relaxed gun control laws?

Protocol and procedures at open venues, like this concert, are being examined. Police training to track down a terrorist more quickly is being reviewed. Security surveillance of unusual items that are brought into a place like a hotel is being reassessed. Baggage screening, metal detectors, checking in on guests who don’t require services for days at a hotel – nothing is off the table now. But all of this too late for those who were part of the October 1st country music concert.

Other hotels on the Las Vegas strip reported that they had been thinking for years about beefing up security at their properties and, in fact, had done so since 2015. Wynn Resorts Chief Executive Officer Steve Wynn talked with Fox News Sunday about a high level counter-terrorism program, now fully operational at the Wynn Resorts since last year.

The actions at those hotels would appear to be a deterrent to any would-be terrorist, and the spending of millions of dollars is a necessity. How can you put a price tag on a life or the injuries to those who suffered that night and will continue to suffer their entire lives?

If you or a loved one were part of this tragedy, the haunting memories are something that you will have to live with the rest of your life. If you or a loved one was hurt or a family member was killed in the tragic, senseless shooting at the Las Vegas country music concert, please contact Clifford Law Offices so we can help you sort through any legal questions that are on your mind.

We know that you need answers and those answers may have to come from the courts as to why a man in a nearby hotel could do such a terrible, terrible thing. You deserve answers, and Clifford Law Offices promises to work to get you the answers that you deserve.
