Mr. Bradley, joined by Nicholas T. Motherway, associate at the firm, obtained a $6 million verdict on behalf of a 41-year-old south suburban woman who died as a result of opioid addiction while under the care of a pain management physician.

The deceased, Ebeilda Ramirez, had visited Dr. Holly Carobene of Comprehensive Pain Care for neck and back pain. She remained under Dr. Carobene’s care for four years until her death due to opioid abuse in 2015. Ms. Ramirez left behind a husband, two adult children, and a granddaughter she would never meet.

In July 2023, the jury returned the $6 million verdict against Dr. Carobene and Comprehensive Pain Care after a three-hour deliberation. “It is very sad, but the jury realized that her death was avoidable, and she should be here today enjoying life,” Bradley commented following the verdict.

Clifford Law Offices attorneys take great measures to ensure successful outcomes for their clients navigating devastating situations stemming from medical negligence that cause wrongful death. Through diligent case preparation, testimony, and client advocacy, the family of Ms. Rameriz has received justice and closure, as well as accountability for the negligence that caused the death of their loved one.
