Throughout March we celebrate the accomplishments of exceptional women who work hard to create change in the world. Sarah F. King, partner at Clifford Law Offices, is no exception. Establishing her career as a successful personal injury attorney took years of hard work, long days, and sacrifice.
Spotlighted by High Impact, a litigation support firm that provides custom law graphics to educate and engage audiences during trial and mediation, Sarah shares what, and more importantly who, has inspired her to become a leader in her professional roles and helped her develop the goal of lifting the community of women in law.
“As a woman in a male-dominated field such as law, I find it extremely important to encourage and support other women lawyers as much as possible. I believe that the knowledge and experience that comes from mentorship and leadership opportunities have the power to catalyze the confidence and passion of young female lawyers.”

She recognizes the work of The Illinois Trial Lawyers Association and the Women’s Bar Association of Illinois which, “have the goals of building a pipeline for female plaintiffs’ attorneys in the courtroom and emboldening them to succeed,” she says in the interview. As the current Second Vice President of the WBAI, she is excited to be a part of their mission.
“Although much has changed within the legal profession, women lawyers are still advocating and fighting to be seen and heard in the courtroom. We are all still working towards revolutionizing the perception of women in law and aim to achieve equality in the profession and as individuals but we see the progression from where we once stood.”

Sarah also attributes much inspiration to Robert A. Clifford, founder and senior partner at Clifford Law Offices, and Keith A. Hebeisen, partner, who she has worked closely with on significant personal injury cases involving medical malpractice, birth injuries, and maternal mortality.
