Clifford Law Offices prides itself on tackling complex cases to the very end. The firm devotes 100 percent of its litigation resources to plaintiffs’ work, evidenced by its notable verdicts – some of them record setting – in a variety of tort practice areas.
Clifford Law Offices was named one of the National Law Journal’s Top 50 “America’s Elite Trial Lawyers” in the country in 2014, the only Chicago law firm to be awarded this honor. Clifford Law Offices was twice named on the “Plaintiff’s Hot List: 20 Go-To Teams” by the National Law Journal. It has received first-tier rankings in various practice areas including medical malpractice, product liability and mass tort/class action work by U.S. News-Best Lawyers “Best Law Firms” Guide.
Its excellence is demonstrated in its work for its clients including a $35 million verdict for internationally-acclaimed violinist Rachel Barton, multi-million dollar settlements on behalf of those injured or killed in the scaffolding collapse at the John Hancock Building and the tragic fire at the Cook County Building, and a $25.9 million verdict in 2015 for a lawyer injured in a Yellow Cab crash.
Robert Clifford was named one of Chicago’s “30 Toughest Lawyers” by Chicago Magazine, recognizing his and the firm’s work on nearly every major aviation crash in the United States – and many international crashes – in the last three decades.
