Yvette C. Loizon, partner at Clifford Law Offices, will be speaking at the Illinois State Bar Association’s (ISBA) 2023 Allerton Conference, “Technology and the Courts: Transforming the Delivery of Justice” held Thursday, March 30, through Saturday, April 1, at the I Hotel & Conference Center in Champaign, IL.
Loizon will serve on a panel entitled “Changing the Ethics Rules on an Attorney’s Ability to Address Internet Criticisms” scheduled to be held Saturday, April 1. A welcome dinner with keynote speaker Illinois Chief Justice of the Illinois Supreme Court Mary Jane Theis will be held on Thursday, March 30.
The purpose of the annual conference is to explore hot topic issues impacting the civil practice and procedure arena – from how artificial intelligence is being used in the courtroom and how technology is being utilized to help disabled lawyers and clients, to using technology to serve rural communities. A look at legislative updates is also included.
The conference, sponsored by the ISBA Civil Practice and Procedure Section and the ISBA Mutual Insurance Company, will be held at the I Hotel & Conference Center, 1900 South First Street, Champaign, IL.
