Yvette Loizon, partner at Clifford Law Offices, has been invited to join the Board of Directors at Urban Gateways, a Chicago non-profit organization that provides art programs and arts education opportunities to inner-city youth, their families, teachers, and community members.
A Chicagoland native, Yvette was born and raised on the far South Side. She and her husband now reside in the Beverly neighborhood of Chicago with their four children. Yvette is an active volunteer and advocates for education in her community where she has served on the School Advisory Board as well as mentored and coached elementary school mock trial, volleyball, and basketball teams.
Yvette brings to the Board of Directors her background as a Chicago local and her perspective as a trial lawyer with experience stemming from the Cook County Criminal Court as an Assistant State’s Attorney and social services caseworker.
Urban Gateways is a unique community organization that has used the arts to engage young people in the culturally vibrant and artistic nature of Chicago for over 60 years. The organization offers its arts programs including dance, theater, fine arts, and multimedia free of charge to students, educators, and community members across the city. Programs are delivered by professionals in their respective fields and offer a special opportunity for Chicagoans to experience participate in the power of creativity.
Yvette is very excited to bring her voice and vision to Urban Gateways, and continue to encourage the development of arts as a pillar of the community through such an amazing organization.
